Summer@Scranton 2024
Our Summer Reading Program will begin on Monday, June 24th! Sign up at scrantonlibrary.readsquared.com starting at 9:30 a.m. on that day!
Participants must live in Madison and have a Madison Library Card (or a grownup with a card!).
Here’s what you need to do:
READ!
- If you’re in Kindergarten-6th Grade: Read 1500 minutes total by August 23rd– we suggest 30 minutes a day to make it easy, but you can read in whatever chunks of time you’d like to reach the goal!
- If you’re a pre–reader: Read a total of 100 books.
COLLECT YOUR PRIZES!
- Every 300 minutes, or 20 books, ReadSquared will let you know it’s time to visit the library and pick up your button and an art piece with your name to add to our community summer mural! You will receive your first button and art piece when you sign up. If you complete summer reading, you’ll receive an invite to a special party this September!
Our Summer Reading program ends on August 23rd. The last day to log your reading will be on August 23rd. The last day to collect your prizes/buttons will be August 30th.
Library BINGO is back!
BINGO cards will be available starting June 24th. Each card contains missions you must complete to earn a raffle ticket for our grand prize. Once you’ve completed a card, come back to the library to fill out your prize ticket to be entered for a chance to win one of our grand prizes!
Winners choose between a 3-month subscription to KiwiCrate, KoalaCrate, or OwlCrate Jr.! Fill out as many BINGO cards between June 24th & August 23rd as you can to earn multiple chances to win (but you can only get one BINGO card per visit).
The last day to turn in BINGO Cards will be on August 23rd. Grand Prizes will be drawn on Saturday, August 24th; and you will be notified if you’ve won by the end of the day on Monday, August 26th.

*Signing up for a summer program will automatically register your child for summer reading if they are a Madison resident. You will receive a confirmation email with your login information and temporary password within 48 hours of signing up.
