Holiday Decor Swap Dropoff

Are you looking to change out your holiday decor but don't want to spend money? Come to our first-ever Holiday Decor Swap!

Donate your unwanted holiday decor items at the Info Desk from Saturday, November 29th through Friday, then come "shop" the swap on Saturday, December 6th from 2-4 p.m. in the Johnson Community Room. Don't have anything to donate? That's okay, you can still visit the swap and find new-to-you decor! Those who donate will receive an early bird ticket to shop the swap from 1:30-2pm.

What can you donate? Decorations for any holiday (St. Patty's Day, Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc) in good, usable condition. Please make sure that items are clean.

Any leftover supplies may be used by the library for programs or donated.

Adult Gingerbread House Competition

Join us for our second Adult Gingerbread House Competition!

We enjoyed this so much last year that we will be doing it again to celebrate the holiday season. Make your gingerbread house at home and drop it off at the Info Desk from December 1-6th. Voting starts on December 8th and runs through the 20th. Winners will be announced on December 22nd. There are 3 categories: 

Best in Show

Most Unique

Most Colorful

Construction Guidelines

• Gingerbread houses must be constructed primarily of edible materials and icing
• Cardboard Bases for the projects must not exceed 24 inches by 24 inches.
• Yes! You can use store-bought gingerbread kits.
• No electricity may be used.

Entries must have a card attached to the bottom that includes the following information:

• Name
• Phone number
• Email address

Doesn’t fit in your budget?

We will have a limited number of gingerbread house kits available on a first come, first serve basis. Kits will be available at the Information Desk beginning Monday, November 24th.

Want your gingerbread house back?

You must pick up any items before the end of the day on Friday, December 26th. Anything left behind will be discarded.

Storytime Sprouts

Bring your budding bookworm to our sprout-tacular storytime! This storytime is best for kids who are 1 to 4 years old. There will be stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities! Registration recommended.
