Episode 3: Janet and Jerry Connolly, The Audubon Shop
At the recommendation of Janet’s father, Janet and Jerry Connolly opened the Audubon
Shop in Madison in 1986. Since then, they moved their store to a historic home and
expanded their offerings to optics. Jerry, a part-time musician when the store began, has
become a devoted birder, much to his surprise. Janet and Jerry have been involved in
the Madison community and have lots of insights on how it has grown and changed over
the years.
