Facility Attendant (part-time)

We seek an experienced facility attendant to help with daily maintenance and long-term stewardship of the Library’s renovated and expanded facility. Come join our team and help make the Library a welcoming environment. The successful candidate for this position will have good oral and written communication skills, great interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic. Summer Program Staff (Temporary, Grant-funded)
The E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison, CT seeks a friendly, collaborative individual to join our team full-time for five weeks this summer. It is the third year of our free, half-day, grant-funded summer program. We are now looking for one staff member to assist our Summer Programming Coordinator and existing staff in making this summer a success! The successful candidate for this position will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an interest in working with children ages 5-12 in either a program or classroom setting. The position will be full-time for five weeks in July and August, with some training hours the week before the program. Volunteering — There are many opportunities to support the library with your time and skills. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the following tasks:

  • Shelving
  • Collection Maintenance
  • Home Delivery Service — Deliver library materials to Madison residents who are unable to come to the library.
