Ten-year-old Aurora has a mysterious neighbor who is a hitman-for-hire, specializing in eliminating real-life monsters. When Aurora believes a monster is responsible for the disappearance of her entire family, she seeks his help. As her neighbor takes on the job, he suspects that Aurora’s parents may have been targeted by assassins in connection with him, leaving him with a heavy conscience. To protect her, he must confront an onslaught of assassins and come to terms with the fact that some monsters are indeed real.
